Vault Keeper Wixwell is a Legendary Defense champion from the Sacred Order faction in Raid: Shadow Legends. With a Force affinity, he brings a strong mix of survivability, team support, and control.
His playstyle is built around maintaining shields, reducing enemy attack power, and disrupting bosses with high provoke chances. Wixwell is known for his durability and utility, especially in tough content where shield and buff management are important.

Wixwell performs well in PvE. He shines in Clan Boss, Doom Tower, Faction Wars, and Hydra thanks to his ability to extend buffs and increase shield strength. He’s particularly powerful in the Clan Boss when used in the special Wixwell Infinity Shield Team, which can help players achieve a 1-Key UNM result.
In PvP, he works best as a tanky crowd control unit who can absorb hits and control enemies with provoke. His only real weakness is his low damage output, but his utility more than makes up for it.

Wixwell key strength lies in his unique set of support abilities. His A1, Deadbolt, can provoke enemies, especially effective against bosses with an 80% chance per hit (without books). His A2, Tempest of Knowledge, applies Decrease ATK to all enemies, increases all ally buffs by one turn, and then boosts the value of all shields based on the number of extended buffs.
His A3, Codex Intercipio, places Intercept stacks on an ally and gives the entire team Increase DEF and Shield buffs. These shield values scale with Wixwell’s DEF, making gear optimization very important. His passive ability grants him a Counterattack buff every turn, giving him consistent provoke chances and damage support.
Compared to other defensive support champions, Wixwell offers more value in prolonged fights where shields and debuffs matter. He stands out for his ability to increase shield values and consistently place provokes.
Wixwell shines in the Infinity Shield comp for 1-Key Ultra Nightmare (UNM) Clan Boss, which relies on keeping his shield active and growing throughout the fight. To do this, the team needs at least two buff extenders. Common buff extenders for this role include Anchorite, Corvis, Demytha, Godseeker Aniri, Valerie, Sandlashed Survivor, and Hellborn. With the right setup and timing, Wixwell becomes a key part of a durable and consistent Clan Boss team.

Vault Keeper Wixwell Best Gear
When gearing Wixwell, the Reflex set is one of the best choices. It gives a 40% chance to reduce a random skill cooldown, which is excellent for quickly getting his support abilities like A2 and A3 back. These skills are crucial for buff management and team protection.
Another good option is the Relentless set. It provides an 18% chance to get an extra turn, helping Wixwell cycle through his skills faster. This set works well in long PvE fights where more turns mean more buffs, shields, and support for the team. However, it can be a bit unpredictable.
The Impulse set is also a strong pick. It increases SPD and gives a 12% chance to reduce skill cooldowns. This is useful for players looking to build a fast support role, especially in situations where turn order and speed tuning matter.

Vault Keeper Wixwell Masteries
For PvE content, masteries focused on Offense and Support trees work well. Warmaster helps with consistent damage output during long fights, especially in Clan Boss. Support masteries like Pinpoint Accuracy, Shieldbearer, and Master Hexer improve his ability to place debuffs and keep buffs active longer. Cycle of Magic and Lore of Steel help with cooldown management and overall stat improvements.
In PvP, Defense and Support masteries are more effective. Tough Skin and Delay Death improve his survivability, while Retribution and Deterrence let him counterattack more often, making better use of his passive. Support options like Eagle-Eye and Shieldbearer keep his debuffs and buffs consistent. This setup helps him stay on the field longer and provide constant control and support.
Choosing masteries depends on your main focus. For Clan Boss and Hydra, go with the PvE route. For Arena and other PvP content, the defensive masteries will help Wixwell do his job better as a control tank.

Vault Keeper Wixwell Blessings
Cruelty is a strong blessing for Wixwell. It lowers the enemy’s DEF every time he attacks, which benefits the whole team. This works well in long battles where stacking small advantages over time makes a difference.
Temporal Chains is another good option. It reduces enemy speed for each active buff they have, which is a good fit for Wixwell’s buff-extending role. In fights where the enemy team runs lots of buffs, this blessing can slow them down and give your team the advantage.
Polymorph is useful in PvP. It gives a chance to turn enemies into sheep when they try to remove or steal buffs from Wixwell or place debuffs on him. This can disrupt strong enemy teams, especially in the Arena.

How to Get Vault Keeper Wixwell
Vault Keeper Wixwell joined Raid as part of the Community 2024 Champion Fusion Event in Patch 8.50. During the event, players could fuse him using other rare and epic champions earned through tournaments and events.
Specifically, players needed 16x Teryx the Restless (Rare) and 4x Arwydd Quivergrass (Epic). Four Teryx the Restless were fused into one Arwydd Quivergrass, and four Arwydds were then used to fuse Vault Keeper Wixwell.
Now that the event has ended, Wixwell is no longer available through fusion. Players who missed the event can still try their luck getting him from Ancient Shards, Sacred Shards, or Primal Shards. However, the chances of pulling a specific Legendary champion are always low, so getting him again might take time.
If you really want Wixwell, keep an eye on special summoning events, 10x boost events, or future Champion Chase tournaments. Plarium sometimes brings back champions or makes them easier to get during limited events, so there’s still hope for adding him to your roster.
Until then, focus on saving shards and building a strong team that could benefit from Wixwell’s unique support role when you finally pull him. His defensive power and crowd control make him a valuable champion in both early and end-game teams.
