Valkyrie is a legendary Defense champion from the Barbarians faction in Raid: Shadow Legends. With Spirit affinity and high utility, she is best known for her powerful support skills.
Valkyrie is a tanky champion who shines in long battles by protecting allies and punishing enemies who rely on buffs. Her playstyle focuses on shielding, counterattacking, and manipulating turn meters, making her one of the strongest defensive champions in the game.

Valkyrie is a top-tier choice for many PvE and PvP activities. She performs well in Arena, Clan Boss, Doom Tower, Hydra, Chimera, and Faction Wars thanks to her shields and counterattacks. In PvP, she can be a game-changer against teams that use buff-heavy strategies. In PvE, her skills allow allies to survive longer and deal more damage.
However, her full potential is more noticeable in mid to late game due to the gear and stats she needs to work well. Her true value becomes clear once her key abilities are unlocked and built correctly.

Table of Contents
Valkyrie’s main strength lies in her A2 skill, Stand Firm, which attacks all enemies while placing a shield and counterattack buff on all allies. The shield size and damage scale with Valkyrie’s DEF, making her even stronger when built for defense.
Her A1 skill, Denigration, hits twice and reduces turn meter if the enemy has buffs. Her passive, Jealousy, increases her turn meter and reduces the enemy’s turn meter every time buffs are placed, helping control the pace of the fight. These abilities make Valkyrie great at both protecting the team and slowing down the enemy.
Compared to other counterattack champions like Martyr or Skullcrusher, Valkyrie offers more control with her turn meter effects and stronger shields. While she may not heal or bring other utility, her ability to provide large shields and punish buff-heavy teams makes her stand out.
She fits best in teams that rely on long battles or need extra survivability. Champions that benefit from counterattacks, like Turvold or Rhazin Scarhide, pair well with Valkyrie, as do speed controllers who help her take more turns.

Valkyrie Best Gear
For gear, Lifesteal is one of the best sets for Valkyrie, especially in Clan Boss. It heals her for 30% of the damage dealt, which helps her survive longer without needing a dedicated healer. This is important since she has no healing skills of her own.
Reflex is another great option. This set gives her a 40% chance to reduce the cooldown of a random skill. It can help her use her A2 skill, Stand Firm, more often, which means more shields and more counterattacks for the team.
Deflection is also a strong choice for PvP. It gives bonus HP and DEF, and has a 25% chance to deflect a debuff back to the attacker. This makes Valkyrie even harder to control or take down in Arena fights. Each of these gear sets gives Valkyrie different advantages depending on where she is used.

Valkyrie Masteries
When it comes to masteries for PvE, Warmaster is the best option in the Offense tree. It helps her deal more damage over time, especially in long battles like Clan Boss.
The Support tree is also important for boosting her buffs and cooldowns. Useful masteries include Pinpoint Accuracy, Shieldbearer, Healing Savior, Swarm Smiter, Cycle of Magic, Lore of Steel, and Lasting Gifts.
For PvP content, a Defense and Support tree build is better. In the Defense tree, masteries like Tough Skin, Rejuvenation, Mighty Endurance, Resurgent, Delay Death, Cycle of Revenge, and Retribution improve her durability and turn meter gains.
In the Support tree, the same masteries as PvE apply, with the addition of Merciful Aid and Timely Intervention to give extra support and react faster in critical moments.

Valkyrie Blessings
For blessings, Brimstone is a strong choice if you want Valkyrie to deal extra damage against bosses. It gives her a chance to place a Smite debuff, which can deal a percentage of the enemy’s max HP. This is useful in boss fights like Hydra or Clan Boss where damage over time is important.
Cruelty is another good blessing. It reduces the enemy’s defense every time Valkyrie hits them. This makes the entire team deal more damage. It works well in both PvE and PvP since it does not rely on specific conditions.
Temporal Chains can also be helpful in PvP. It reduces the enemy’s speed for each buff they have, which can make fast teams slower and give your team the advantage. This blessing works well with Valkyrie’s passive since she already benefits from enemy buffs.

How to Get Valkyrie
Valkyrie can be summoned from Ancient, Sacred, and Primal Shards. Since she is a legendary champion, the chances are low, but she is one of the top pulls from these shards. Players often try to get her during double legendary or x2 events to increase their chances.
She is not available from fusions or fragments, so shard pulling is the only way to get her. This makes her a rare and valuable champion, especially for players who rely on long-lasting battles and defense-based strategies.
If you manage to pull Valkyrie early in your game, she can carry your account through many stages of content. For mid and late game players, she is an excellent addition to teams that need strong support and survivability. Her gear and setup may take time, but the results are worth the effort.
