Mad Hatter may appear a bit unhinged, but his abilities make him a serious threat on the battlefield. He excels at manipulating buffs and debuffs while boosting his team’s Turn Meters, making him both a nuisance to enemies and a valuable asset to allies. With skills that apply key debuffs like Hex, Weaken, and True Fear, and a passive healing ability for his team every 10 turns, he can disrupt opponents while keeping his team in fighting shape.
Mad Hatter’s toolkit is built around buff and debuff manipulation. His default skill allows him to steal buffs and spread debuffs, while his second skill lets him team up with a powerful ally for devastating attacks. Additionally, his other abilities ensure his team stays fast and ready by extending buffs, reducing debuff durations, and increasing Turn Meters.

Mad Hatter’s A1 is a skill that targets a single enemy with two consecutive hits. Each hit comes with a 25% chance to steal one random buff from the target and a 75% chance to apply a Debuff Spread effect. This spreads one random debuff from the target to all enemies who are under a Hex debuff, making it a powerful tool for disrupting the enemy team.
With Mixture Most Foul [A2], Mad Hatter launches an AOE attack that has a 75% chance to place a Hex debuff and a 25% chance to apply a Weaken debuff on all enemies for two turns. What makes this skill even more impactful is that the ally with the highest Critical Damage will join the attack using their default skill. The ally’s damage increases by 10% for every debuff on the target, allowing for devastating follow-up strikes.
His A3 ability is centered around team support. It increases the duration of all buffs on allies by one turn while simultaneously reducing the duration of all debuffs on them by one turn. Additionally, it fills the Turn Meters of all allies by 20%, ensuring the team can act quickly and stay in control.
Finally, Time For Tea!, Mad Hatter’s Passive skill, provides both healing and crowd control. Every 10 turns taken by allies, it heals all team members for 20% of their MAX HP, offering valuable sustain. Meanwhile, every six turns taken by enemies, it places a True Fear debuff on all of them for one turn. If multiple Champions with this skill are on the team, only one instance of the effect will activate.
Mad Hatter’s skills make him a well-rounded Champion capable of supporting his team while sowing chaos among enemies. His versatility makes him a strong choice for a variety of team compositions and strategies.

Mad Hatter Best Gear
Equipping Mad Hatter with the right gear focuses on two key stats: Speed and Accuracy. Speed ensures that Mad Hatter can act quickly to manipulate buffs and debuffs before they expire, while Accuracy improves his ability to successfully apply or steal buffs and debuffs during battle.
There are three specific gear sets highly recommended for Mad Hatter: Feral, Relentless, and Perception.
The Feral Set offers substantial benefits, providing up to 120 additional Accuracy, 15% Speed, a Block Debuffs buff at the start of each round, and a 50% chance to prevent Sheep debuffs from the Polymorph Blessing. This set is ideal for Mad Hatter, as it enhances both Accuracy and Speed while also offering additional utility.
The Perception Set is a more conventional choice. Requiring only two pieces of gear to activate its bonus, it grants 40 Accuracy and 5% Speed. Equipping six pieces of Perception Artifacts boosts Accuracy by 120 and Speed by 15%, offering the same stats as Feral but with easier accessibility.
Finally, the Relentless Set takes a different approach. While it doesn’t directly enhance stats like Accuracy or Speed, this four-piece set provides an 18% chance of gaining an extra turn. This can be invaluable for reducing skill cooldowns, allowing Mad Hatter to cycle back to his impactful abilities faster.

Mad Hatter Masteries
As a Support-type Champion, Mad Hatter thrives when utilizing the Support Mastery Tree. Focus on Masteries that improve his Accuracy, such as Pinpoint Accuracy and Charged Focus, to ensure his debuffs consistently land. Additionally, Master Hexer extends the duration of his debuffs, while Cycle of Magic can help reduce skill cooldowns. Arcane Celerity is another excellent choice, as it increases Mad Hatter’s Turn Meter, allowing him to act more frequently in battle.
While Mad Hatter shines in PvE content like Dungeons and Doom Tower, adding some offensive power from the Offense Mastery Tree can make him more versatile. Focus on the left-hand side of the tree and work towards the Tier 6 Mastery Warmaster, which provides bonus damage scaling based on the target’s MAX HP. This mastery is particularly useful in longer battles against bosses like the Demon Lord, Hydra, and Chimera Clan Bosses, where sustained damage can make all the difference.

Mad Hatter Blessings
We recommend two Blessings for Mad Hatter: Brimstone and Cruelty.
Brimstone is an excellent damage-focused option, offering a chance to place a Smite debuff on enemy targets when attacking. The Smite debuff detonates after the enemy uses an active skill, dealing damage equal to 25% of their MAX HP. At Level 6 of Awakening, Brimstone has a 100% chance to place a protected Smite debuff, making it a significant threat to enemy teams and enhancing Mad Hatter’s damage potential.
The alternative is Cruelty, a Blessing that enables Mad Hatter to decrease an enemy’s Defense with each hit. This synergizes well with his debuff-focused kit, allowing his allies to inflict even greater damage. At Level 6 of Awakening, Cruelty reduces an enemy’s Defense by 4% per hit, stacking up to 40% for Champions and 20% for Bosses. This makes it an ideal choice for longer battles where weakening the enemy’s defenses is crucial.
